Pride is a silly thing you have to show and swallow which is why I titled this album as such. I believe that since I moved to Austin I have had to learn to swallow my pride more than I would have liked. Moreover, I’ve been thinking a tremendous amount about who I am and where I was three years, two years, and even this past year. I chose today as the day to release this project because June 11th last year I started a new job and I wrote in my journal for my work that I was going to start taking my life, my work, and the world around me more seriously, be dedicated to being my absolute best. I believe since I started writing, organizing, and manifesting this desire that my life has seriously changed for the best. This album is dedicated to me because I could never have imagined all I have accomplished in a year. I put out six songs over the summer, had a legendary final radio show, graduated, got my first real job and I have met more incredible, dedicated, and positive people in one year than I have in the past 3. I have removed people who took away not added energy or value to my life which was a major change for me. I have become more mature, more determined, and more spiritually grounded in life. I am the happiest I have been in a long time. Life is looking up!

In regards to the album, it is a collection of songs that I have been working on for over four years. They all were at one time part of different projects and ideas that never got finished. Sadly, those projects probably never will be finished so I decided to make a mixtape. A true mixtape with 12 tracks from all eras of Renoir. I am sick of looking at them in my google drive folders and secret files on SoundCloud. I figured when I die in 100 years I rather these be out in the world for someone to enjoy than lost to the hands of time. I had to accept that it is okay that the albums won't be finished and these tracks could stand alone on their own.


I love being creative and putting my voice out there. In the coming weeks and months, I am dedicating myself to opening the vault and releasing everything. Pride is just the start. If you want to be on a song please feel free to reach out to me.
